Chaka Khan

Chaka Khan is an American musician and singer. Also, she's known as her most well-known nickname, Queen of Funk. In her career, which has spanned more than five decades, she's been awarded a total of 10 Grammys. She has also been named the 65th most successful dance artist of all time in the history of Billboard magazine. Her birthplace was in Chicago, Illinois and introduced to jazz at a young time by her grandma. She began her career by singing in various groups. The group she later joined was Rufus. When she was twenty She released her debut album in the band. In the year following, they were awarded the group's first Grammy. The self-titled debut album only a few years later than her debut solo album. The following years, she has released a few other albums, including "Echoes Of An Era", "The Woman I Am" as well as a track titled "Funk It". Apart from her musical contributions, her charitable work has brought her lots of attention. The foundation she founded was the Chaka Khan Foundation to help children from poor families, and also children with autism. Khan has also worked as occasionally an actress.
